What are good type of allergy medicines that work well?
I've tried Claritin, Zyrtec, Singulair, and Xyzal. None of them worked except Xyzal, but apparently my medical coverage doesn't cover xyzal. Is there any other type of allergy medicines that are as well as xyzal? Anyone know what allergy medicine Medi Cal covers?
Can you have a skin allergy to a food yet be able to consume it?
I get red swollen ITCHY hands when i cut tomatoes but i can eat them raw or cooked just fine. Is this an allergy? Also this might sound silly but when a cat or kitten with nails plays with me I get a similar reaction when they scratch me even if it doesn't break the skin i get like what almost looks like mosquito bites that itch real bad until i wash my hands yet i am fine around cats and have lived with them more on than off and never have any other noticeable reaction just from the presence the cats. Does this sound like an allergy?

Hello. So, Whenever I go into a pool, I start to get this rash that lasts like a week. I have swimming coming up in school and the school isn't aware of the rash I get. So, I'm going to have to get a doctors note, but is the doctor going to believe me? Does he need proof that I get a rash to give me a doctors not out of swimming? I don't want him to think I'm lying.
Is there any options in allergy pills?
I take allegra d and it's causing dry mouth like crazy. I usually have itchy eyes and nose or watery eyes and or nose. I used to get allergy shots which I will be starting again soon. Any options I can take?
False positive on allergy test?
I am going to have food allergy tests as I have an unknown cause of anaphylaxis. I am going for skin prick tests and blood tests. My friend told me that eating the food you are being tested for an allergy can result in a false positive. For example if you blood is being tested for peanut allergy, can it have a false positive if they ate nuts before the test. Is this true?
How to tell if your child has allergy's to cat's vs. pollen?
He is 6 and has a suffy noise all the time even if he is away from the cats. He did have a breathing problem when by a crab tree in the spring. What do you think?
Flute allergy; gold lip plate doesn't help?
I play flute and I have always been allergic to the nickel so I got a gold lip plate. which works great in normal concert band, but when I have marching band I get a breakout that begins below my lip, then spreads to the rest of my face, even my wrists, shoulders, legs, and knees. luckily it's only little bumps that are not too noticable but they are crazy itchy and get worse once I get all sweaty at camp. any suggestions?
Severe allergy, please help?
I have bad allergy. I used to take two shots a week, but I don't have insurance right now to take shot. I have allergy medicine that bought over the counter. Nothing I'm taking seem to be helping. I have stuffy and ruuny nose, fever, itchy eyes, itchy throat. Please help and suggest any treatment possible in my case. If you suggest medicine or take shots, that's out of my league. I don't have insurance and these mecinine never work for me.
SINUS PROBLEMS AND ALLERGIES ? ? ?
I saw my GP today after 1 year of having heavily congested nose sinus,i asked her for a CT or Xray to be done, but she said it wouldnt show up anything ???Im in so much pain, and my face feels swollen just below my eyes, my head feels fit to burst My teeth are throbbing, but all she can do is Amoxicillin again She says, some people have recurring sinus problems, but there is nothing you can do, just take painkillers ??? what for the rest of my life ?? Im wondering if its an allergy, as something makes me sneeze and then it starts to clear the nasal mucus, and it comes out like clear glue really thick ? but its still congested, just relives it a bit ?I wake up every morning, with a banging headache and stuffy head, and my teeth throbbing ?? i also get alot of acid reflux, although this probably isnt related.
Allergy Scratch test results?
My son had an allergy scratch test done for the 2nd time he is allergic to peanuts This time it showed he is pretty much a 4 to everything outside. If it is that severe, how come I haven't really noticed anything. A sneeze here. A stuffed nose there, and headaches, but nothing too severe. When his cousin isn't as bad as his, and she gets rashes, swollen, and itchy skin, just form outdoor allergies.Same with Soy. He is a 3 on soy. But we used to give him soy milk and used soy butter on sandwiches, since he is allergic to peanuts. How come he shows no signs of a food allergy to that?He has a 4 allergy to peanuts, and that reaction was very severe and obvious to us

Do food allergies start suddenly? Or do they have to start from birth?
I keep developing more and more food allergies. First I became lactose intolerant. Then couldn't eat peanut butter or sunflower seeds. Now it seems I have suddenly become gluten wheat sensitive. And that last one came on suddenly after a lifetime of eating, and baking, whole grain bread. Has anybody else had a food allergy start late in life without warning?Thanks to all.
How to deal with spring allergies?
I'm 17. not sure if that matters and I have terrible allergies ever since I moved up to the Sacramento Area El dorado county to be specific , I used to live on the coast and never had these problems. But I just sneezed literally 11 times and now my head hurts, my eyes are watery and my nose runs constantley, it is also stuffed up. It has cost me three nights of sleep from not being able to breathe, and the running and sneezing is unbearable. I would take medicines in a heartbeat but I am EXTREMLEY allergic to Benadryl so much that is almost killed me. So I am very paranoid about taking any allergy pills, any natural relief from this crap?

Avocado, Melons, Bananas. Others might be raw Carrots and kiwi...These are certain foods that make my mouth a little itchy like a very minor allergy, do they have anything in common? And if so, are there others that have the same thing in common?I know for a fact that I am allergic to Laytex and i've heard that can lead to banana allergies... but what about the others? Are they in the same catagory?
